In honour of Provincial Week and National Bingo Day, Delta Hawkesbury presented Hawkesbury Central Food Bank with a $1,000 monetary donation and thanks to their players, a collection of non-perishable food items.
President of the Hawkesbury Central Food Bank, Joanne Gratton, was present for the donation and had the below to say.
“First, thank you to all the organizers—near and far—of this event, one of whose goals is to recognize and support a vital charity like ours, the Hawkesbury Central Food Bank.
The monthly support we receive is, without a doubt, indispensable; it upholds and ensures the mission and slogan of the HCFB—“A Helping Hand in Times of Need.”
Now, thank you to all our HCFB volunteers, whose loyal commitment ensures the continuity of our services. Without them, we could not have achieved the excellence we have attained.
Finally, I want to highlight the warm welcome we receive from all the staff members at Delta Bingo Hawkesbury. We are always greeted with a smile, and they are always ready to answer any questions we might have. Also, thank you to the staff who, during the holiday season, organized a food and hygiene drive for the well-being of the HCFB’s clients.
So there you have it! A resounding thank you to everyone who contributes, in any way, to the HCFB’s success!”
