Funds raised help purchase Christmas gifts and support a hot lunch program
In 2023, funds raised through the Phoenix Centre for Children and Families and Delta Pembroke were used to help purchase Christmas gifts and run a Friday hot lunch program for students. Each student in the program received a story, sketchbook, socks and a fidget toy. One child who benefitted from the program said, “I am looking forward to cooking my hot lunch pick with Krissy! I picked homemade submarine sandwiches! Thank you.”
Fortunate for Delta’s partnership
In addition to the Christmas initiative, funds are also used to support client assistance and transportation, snacks for group sessions, field trips and program supplies. As the Phoenix Centre shares, they feel “fortunate to belong to Delta Bingo & Gaming Pembroke and be able to provide… for our clients,” helping to make a positive impact in the community year-round.

The Phoenix Centre for Children and Families is a non-profit Children’s Mental Health agency for youth who are 17 or younger that aims to provide support and resources to those with emotional and behavioral challenges.
