Providing Assistance for Oakville's neediest members

During the past five and a half decades of service to the Oakville Community, the Civitan Club has donated more than $2.3 million to local charities and service groups, including a donation of over $30,000 in furniture to Community Living’s skills development workshop. For 55 years, the Civitan Club of Oakville’s charitable activities have supported Community Living Oakville.

The Civitan Club focuses its support on Oakville’s not-for-profit organizations that provide assistance to those in our community with the greatest needs. Funding is generally directed to associations and charities that do not otherwise receive significant support from outside the community. Recent donations have included:

Oakville Distress Centre
Supporting people with developmental disabilities in our community
Oakville Trafalgar Hospital’s Child & Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Unit
Children & Adolescent Psychiatric inpatient services provided on urgent/crisis basis
Camp Trillium
For children with cancer and their supporting parents
Halton Trauma Centre
etc.

The Club typically donates about $40,000 annually.

In the 20 years that we’ve been partnered with Delta, Civitan Club has helped thousands of people in the Oakville community using funds raised at Delta Bingo and Gaming.
