Supporting Special Olympics Athletes for over 20 years

“Special Olympics has optimized the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle through sport. They continue to improve and expand the quality, opportunity and accessibility of sport to individuals with an intellectual disability. Along with this, they strive to improve both the awareness and support of the community in regards to Special Olympics Canada and those involved with the charity.

The organization has been raising funds through Bingo Gaming revenues for over 20 years. With the monies raised over the years, the organization has benefited in many different ways. These funds have helped them defer the cost of much-needed uniforms and equipment. It has also helped Special Olympics – Sudbury to pay for transportation and accommodations for their athletes that participate in regional competitions and tournaments. Being in Northern Ontario, tournaments are not close by. Most of their traveling requires 2 hours of traveling to the south of the province. For many Athletes, it is the only time they get to travel, eat out, stay in hotels, and meeting new and old friends.
