COVID-19
Your Safety Matters

As the remaining regions in the province of Ontario enter Stage 3 of reopening, we are thrilled to announce that a number of Delta Bingo locations have been added to the reopen list as of Friday, July 31, 2020!

See below full list of reopened centres: Currently open: Opening July 31:

Delta Mississauga will remain closed until further notice.

**DUE TO CAPACITY RESTRICTIONS, REOPENED CENTRES WILL OFFER TAPTIX MACHINES  & PLAY ON DEMAND (POD) GAMES ONLY. THERE WILL BE NO BINGO SESSIONS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

As you know, we have used this closure as an opportunity to diligently clean and sanitize each area of our gaming centres and develop a reopening plan that ensures the health and safety of every visitor. Working with government officials and public health experts, we’ve restructured operations and implemented crucial safety measures to ensure we are providing the safest gaming experience possible.

Important notes:
  1. In order to comply with the mandated capacity restriction of maximum 50 people, the first stage of reopening our gaming centres will include TapTix machines and Play on Demand (POD) games ONLY!  (Dynamite Diamonds, Siberian Storm, Hot N Saucy, etc.) This means there will be NO BINGO SESSIONS at any Delta Bingo & Gaming location until further notice. Once capacity restrictions are eased, we will re-evaluate and bring bingo sessions back as soon as possible.
  2. Face masks are mandatory inside every Delta Bingo location.
  3. Management reserves the right, at their discretion, to refuse service to anyone that will not comply with protocols and/or someone who jeopardizes the health and safety of staff and customers. This includes but is not limited to; denied entry into the facility and/or being asked to leave the premises.

Here is what you can expect in centre:
LIMITED ENTRY
  • Due to government mandated capacity restrictions, there will be a limited number of customers allowed in centre at one time. Limits will vary per location, to a maximum of 50 people. As a preventative measure, all customers will be asked screening questions and required to wear a mask and apply hand sanitizer upon entry.
  • To limit exposure and manage capacity, there will be NO in and out privileges once you have entered. This means, if you exit the facility and wish to re-enter, you will need to stand in line (when applicable) and repeat the entry procedure.
  • Upon entry, each visitor must provide their name and contact information for potential 'contact tracing', to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
PHYSICAL DISTANCING
  • Staff and customers must maintain a 2-meter distance from one another at all times. This applies to line-ups (inside and outside), washrooms, seating, etc. Gaming areas that are not in use will be closed off completely. Watch for distancing reminders on the floor and displayed on signs and digital boards.
ENHANCED CLEANING MEASURES
  • Staff members will be continuously sanitizing high touch areas property-wide, with products proven to kill bacteria and viruses. TapTix machines will be disinfected after each use and hand sanitizing stations will be made available for customers to use at their discretion.
  • The air filter system will also be replaced more frequently to maximize fresh air exchange inside each facility.
STAFF TRAINING
  • All staff have completed detailed training on distancing, disinfecting and protection. They are following rigorous hygiene protocols and are committed to upholding these safety standards to protect themselves and our customers.
PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
  • Masks are mandatory at all Delta Bingo locations. Wearing a mask protects the people around you.
  • Staff will be wearing the protective equipment necessary for their job function. These items include gloves, masks, and face shields.
  • Protective guards have been installed at customer service desks and other counters with frequent staff/customer interaction.
FOOD SAFETY
  • Full food services have been modified to only pre-packaged and quick order items. All self-serve stations are closed (drinks, condiments, coffee stations, etc.).
  • To ensure limited exposure to outside contaminants, outside food or drink is no longer permitted in centre.

As we move through the stages of re-opening, we will be strictly abiding by health official recommendations, and adjusting these protocols and procedures accordingly. Delta Bingo & Gaming is committed to meeting or exceeding all necessary health measures so that every customer and staff member feels safe inside our centres.

With your cooperation and support, we can maintain a clean and healthy gaming environment for everyone. We are in a constant state of change and must respond to information as we receive it. Thank you for being patient and working with us as we navigate this ‘new normal’ together.  As these protocols change, we will be sure to keep you updated.

Please check back regularly for updates.

FAQ's

  • What is expected from me?
    • Stay home if you have experienced symptoms in the last 14 days or if you have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive in the last 14 days.
    • Regularly wash your hands and use hand sanitizer
    • Stay 2 meters apart from other guests and staff
    • Cough or sneeze into a tissue or sleeve
    • Masks must be worn at all times inside the facility
  • Will smokers be allowed to re-enter without losing their spot?

NO. To limit exposure and manage capacity, there will be NO in and out privileges once you have entered. This means, if you exit the facility and wish to re-enter, you will need to stand in line (when applicable) and repeat the entry procedure – hand sanitizing and screening questions.

  • Can I still get a coffee when I visit?

Yes. Food and beverage options are currently limited to pre-packaged and quick order items. For hygienic purposes there will be no self-serve stations, meaning anything from sugar to chips will be accessible by Delta staff only and provided to guests as requested.

  • What if I want to join someone but I do not want to play myself?

In order abide by Government mandates and ensure the safety of our staff and customers we are limited in the number of guests we can have in centre at one time. Due to the high volume of guests waiting to enter we can only permit those wanting to play.

  • When a player leaves, can I move to their machine to play instead of the one I started with?

Yes, as long as it has been cleaned by one of our employees in between guests.

  • Is there a time limit on how long I can play for?

No. You are welcome to stay and play as long as your visit falls within operating hours.

  • Do I have to wear a mask to enter?

Yes – All Delta locations will require masks before entering the building. This measure protects our staff and other customers.

  • What are the screening questions asked before entry?
    1. Have you travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days?
    2. Have you been in contact with anyone who has travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days?
    3. In the past 14 days, have you had a fever, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing or been around anyone who has had a fever, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing?

If you answer yes to any of these, you will not be permitted entry.

  • Why can’t I bring a snack or drink inside? This was never an issue before.

In order to safely operate in this new environment, many things that were once common practice must be adjusted.

To ensure the safety of everyone inside the centre, limiting what comes in is the best course of action. If you have medical or dietary needs, you may speak with management for consideration.

  • Why is the capacity different at each location?

The maximum capacity in any public indoor space is currently set at 50 people (not including staff/employees). However, many Delta Bingo sites will only admit the amount of players per operation TapTix machine. A limited number of machines will be available at each site in order to ensure physical distancing. That being said, if 20 machines can be in use at an acceptable distance, only 20 players will be allowed in the centre at one time. Capacities will differ across location based on the number of operational TapTix machines.

  • Why is there no Bingo?

With capacity restrictions set to 50 people, we are unable to host bingo sessions. Once these restrictions are eased, we will re-evaluate and bring bingo sessions back as soon as possible.

  • When will bingo start?

While an exact timeline is not known, we are hopeful that we will be playing bingo again soon.
