Delta Pickering supports VON Durham

“VON Durham Site Home and Community Services (VON Durham) is proud to be one of over 750 local charities who benefit from the extremely generous annual support of Delta Bingo & Gaming [Pickering]. The funds raised from charitable gaming enables VON Durham to provide volunteers with the training and education required to better serve our communities-in-need across Durham Region. 

VON Durham provides Hospice Palliative Care Services and is home to the SMART, WIN, and SELECT programs. We provide emotional, social, and spiritual support to individuals and families facing life-limiting diagnoses, advanced illness, death, and bereavement; as well as palliative pain and symptom management. Our staff and trained volunteers work in partnership with community health care professionals and other service providers in an effort to enhance the quality of client care. Our staff and volunteers are also available to provide anticipatory grief and bereavement support to family members and friends, as well as advance care planning support.

We are extremely grateful for the continued support of Delta Bingo & Gaming. The $46,207.54 raised will be used to continue offering exceptional education and development opportunities to our volunteers, staff, and communities”.
