Delta Brampton and The Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides Change Lives

With the funds raised through their partnership with Delta Bingo & Gaming Brampton, The Lions Foundation of Canada has donated $25,000 in order to place a Guide Dog with an individual in Peel.

Lions Foundation of Canada is a national charity whose mission is to assist Canadians with a medical or physical disability by providing them Dog Guides at no cost. With seven programs in place, Canadians with disabilities are offered the opportunity to find greater independence, mobility and safety through the help of a Dog Guide.

The cost of raising, training and placing a Dog Guide with a qualifying Canadian is approximately $25,000, none of which is passed on to the applicant. Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides receives no government funding and relies solely on donations from individuals, corporations, and fundraising activities such as Delta Bingo & Gaming.

With the generous support of Delta Brampton, 100% of the funds raised go directly towards the Dog Guide programs and ensure that the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides fulfills its mission to change lives.
