FORT MCMURRAY FRIDAYS RAISES OVER $50,000
Delta Bingo & Gaming Patrons and Staff raise over $50,000 to help residents of Fort McMurray.
Oakville, ON – July 13, 2016
Patrons and staff of Delta Bingo & Gaming raised over $50,000 last month for the Red Cross Alberta Fires Appeal through a recent campaign aimed at providing support to those affected by the devastating wildfires in Alberta earlier this spring.
For three consecutive Fridays in June, all Delta Bingo and Boardwalk Gaming locations across Ontario hosted “Fort McMurray Fridays”, where all snack bar sales were donated to the Canadian Red Cross.
“When a disaster such as this occurs we know we have to do something to help”, says Cam Johnstone, President, Delta Bingo & Gaming “The response to our Fort McMurray Fridays was terrific. Our players were eager to offer their support and were extremely generous in their contributions. We are happy we can make this donation to help rebuild the lives of the individuals and families whose homes were destroyed by these devastating wildfires.”
Delta Bingo & Gaming CEO Cameron Johnstone presented a cheque for $51,216 to Canadian Red Cross Representative Amanda Moore, on July 13th at Delta Bingo in Oakville. In attendance was the Delta Bingo leadership team, City Councillor Cathy Duddeck, media outlets Snap’d Oakville and the Oakville Beaver, Delta charity representatives and many loyal Delta Bingo customers.
