During the past five and a half decades of service to the Oakville Community, the Civitan Club has donated more than $2.3 million to local charities and service groups, including a donation of over $30,000 in furniture to Community Living\u2019s skills development workshop. For 55 years, the Civitan Club of Oakville\u2019s charitable activities have supported Community Living Oakville.<\/p>\n
The Civitan Club focuses its support on Oakville\u2019s not-for-profit organizations that provide assistance to those in our community with the greatest needs. Funding is generally directed to associations and charities that do not otherwise receive significant support from outside the community. Recent donations have included:<\/p>\n

\nOakville Trafalgar Hospital\u2019s Child & Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Unit
\nChildren & Adolescent Psychiatric inpatient services provided on urgent\/crisis basis

\nFor children with cancer and their supporting parents
\nHalton Trauma Centre

The Club typically donates about $40,000 annually.<\/p>\n
