Delta Sudbury Celebrates 26 Years of Donating Turkeys

This Christmas marks the 26th year that Delta Sudbury and charity partners, Sudbury Charities Foundation and the ACT/UCT have donated turkeys to families in the Sudbury area.

This campaign, which represents approximately $320,000 in donations, started in 1996 and supports roughly 1,200 families. With demand rising, Club Richelieu de Sudbury, has joined to provide extra funding to support the initiative.

“It’s campaigns like this one that help make the holidays brighter for families in Greater Sudbury”, says Richard Schwar, Sudbury Charity Association Coordinator.

Funds used to continue this tradition are generated through the charitable gaming program and the partnership between Delta Sudbury, Sudbury Charities Foundation, ACT/UCT Sudbury and Club Richelieu Sudbury.
