  1. Delta Bingo at Home & Delta’s 50/50 Draw Funds Support Vita Centre Mississauga

Vita Centre would like to thank Delta Mississauga and the community for the opportunity to continue to receive funds during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are extremely grateful for your continued fundraising efforts as the funds raised through Delta Mississauga have supported us in “keeping our doors open” to continue to support vulnerable families during the COVID-19 pandemic. Not having to worry about how we were going to cover certain program related expenses allowed us to focus on modifying all of our in-person programs and services in order to deliver them telephonically as well as virtually in order to continue to meet the growing needs of our client families as well as those of the community.

Our Counsellors have been meeting with clients telephonically right from the beginning of the pandemic and in the last 8 months, have also been able to provide virtual counselling via video conferencing to those clients that still want the experience of visually connecting with their Counsellor. As well, all of our group programs, which are designed to enhance parenting capacity and confidence, have also been successfully modified and are now being delivered virtually to vulnerable families in the community.  Using contactless delivery methods, staff and volunteers having been delivering high needs items such as diapers, wipes, formula, food, etc., to client families from our Care Closet. All of this has been possible with the support of Delta Mississauga

Type ‘Bingo’ and your card number (found in the Free Space or bottom right hand corner) into the comment section of the Live stream video.

    Where can I pick-up my pre-paid cards?

Pre-paid cards can be picked up from one of our 18 Ontario locations during the designated curbside times.

Can I pick-up my cards for multiple dates at the same time?

Yes! You pick-up your pre-paid cards for the whole week at the same time.

Why can’t I pick-up multiple week’s cards at the same time?

Due to licensing parameters, we are unable to distribute Delta Bingo at Home tickets for multiple weeks at a time. All aspects of the game’s execution are governed by these procedures and have many logistical implications. We are always working on ways to make the game and purchasing process easier and more efficient for everyone. We will continue to improve the customer experience while working within the licensing framework.

Can someone pick-up cards on my behalf?

Yes, you may designate an alternative person to pick-up your order at the time of purchase. Cards will not be released to anyone who is not listed on the order details. Must have Government Issued Photo ID for pick-up.

What happens if I win? How do I collect my prize?

Winners must email to arrange prizing details.

This isn’t a likely scenario, but it can happen!  Type ‘Bingo’ and your card number (found in the Free Space or bottom right-hand corner) into the comment section of the live stream video and the caller will review your card. If verified as a good bingo,  you will still receive the associated prize for that pattern, even if the first pattern has not been won.

Where can I find my card number?

Your card number can be found in the ‘Free Space’ square or in the bottom right-hand corner.

  7. Delta Funds Support Down Syndrome Association of Peterborough

“The Down Syndrome Association of Peterborough services individuals and families with someone who has Down syndrome within the Peterborough area, Northumberland County, and Kawartha Lakes.  We service and support over seventy families.

The Down Syndrome Association of Peterborough, is very thankful to Delta Bingo [Peterborough] for providing us with an opportunity to earn vital funds to support our programs.  This money share is extremely important to our program, and it assists many individuals in continuing to strengthen their social connections and social/life skills in general.  These skills are essential to becoming integrated within our community, and their individual success.

Weekly (pre-Covid), DSP would facilitate social programming such as karate, breakdancing, dinner and dance, music, drama, art, movies and many other fantastic programs.  These programs are staff supported and are an essential part in not only teaching and reinforcing social skills; but also providing families/parents with structured safe, and supported respite.

People with Down syndrome learn best when provided extra learning opportunities; as well as concrete learning.  We would not be able to provide these kinds of supports without Delta Bingo’s support in being able to be part of this amazing program!

These programs are invaluable to our members!  They look forward each week in not only seeing their friends, but also in taking part and haivng fun in these exciting programs.

From everyone at DSP, we thank Delta Bingo [Peterborough]!”
